114th Academic Year Senior and Junior High School Taiwan Sign Language Teacher Training and Certification Program, Phase 3 Implementation Plan

| 1. | This is in accordance with the letter from the Ministry of Education's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (hereinafter referred to as the "Department") dated November 27, 114, with reference number 臺教國署原字第1145704219號. |
| 2. | "Taiwanese Sign Language" has been designated as a national language. In accordance with the "National Languages Development Act," the curriculum guidelines for twelve-year basic education have been implemented in elementary schools, junior high schools, and senior high schools starting from the 111 academic year. To continue fostering Taiwanese Sign Language teachers, this plan is hereby implemented. |
| 3. | The Department has commissioned National Chiayi University to implement the aforementioned plan. The registration period for the 3rd phase of training is from now until December 19, 114 (Friday). Participants who meet the specified requirements will be awarded a certificate as a qualified Taiwanese Sign Language teacher. Key information is summarized as follows: |
| (1) | Eligibility: Full-time, tenured teachers within the establishment of senior high schools and below (including special education schools). (Excludes substitute and temporary teachers). Nomination is generally limited to one person per school. |
| (2) | Application Method: |
| 1. | Interested teachers who meet the eligibility criteria should complete the application form (Attachment 1 of the Implementation Plan) and first fill in basic registration information on the webpage (https://forms.gle/PH6FjhgGuDa6fxwT8). After obtaining the school's official seal, please mail or deliver it to the contact person at our Bureau (Elementary Education Section) by December 11, 114 (Thursday). |
| 2. | Announcement of Selected Candidates: The list of selected candidates is expected to be announced by January 2, 115 (Friday). For the actual announcement date, please refer to the latest announcements on the homepage of the Center for Special Education Teaching and Research at National Chiayi University (https://website.ncyu.edu.tw/cset). Selected candidates will be notified individually via email. |
| (3) | An introductory briefing for this program will be held online on January 7, 115 (Wednesday) at 6:00 PM (Meeting link: https://s-l-teach-ncyu-112.webex.com/s-l-teach-ncyu-112-tc/j.php?MTID=ma8d58a2fd265887a003484e3bd409c2b). Participating teachers are requested to attend the briefing at the scheduled time. Individual notifications will not be sent. If you are unable to attend on the day, the briefing materials will be posted on the website of the Center for Special Education Teaching and Research at National Chiayi University (URL: https://website.ncyu.edu.tw/cset) for your reference. |
