Forwarding the letter from the Ministry of Education's National Academy for Educational Research (hereinafter referred to as NAER) regarding the "2030 Bilingual Policy - Enhancing English Teachers' Teaching Effectiveness in Elementary and Junior High Schools - Domestic English Professional Development and Overseas Short-Term Study Programs for Teachers - 2026 Overseas Short-Term Study Program for Elementary and Junior High School English Teachers." Please handle according to the following instructions. Thank you for your attention.

Details:

1.	In accordance with NAER's letter dated December 31, 2025, Ref. No. 1145506263.

To enhance the teaching capabilities of domestic English teachers, NAER has commissioned National Taiwan Normal University (hereinafter referred to as NTNU) to organize the aforementioned program. This program aims to improve the professional teaching skills of elementary and junior high school English teachers through overseas short-term study, enabling them to utilize effective teaching strategies and enhance students' English oral expression and communication skills, thereby implementing government policies.

3.	Key information from the program brochure is as follows:

(1)	Eligibility:

1.	Full-time English teachers who have served continuously for at least 4 academic years in public elementary or junior high schools in general areas or non-mountainous/non-urban areas.

2.	Full-time English teachers who have served continuously for at least 2 academic years in public elementary or junior high schools in remote areas.

(2)	Number of teachers to be selected: 150 English teachers (75 for junior high, 75 for elementary) are planned to be selected in 2026 for short-term overseas study during the summer.

(3)	Study program format: Each session is 3 weeks long, divided into junior high and elementary groups by educational stage. Details are as follows:

1.	Junior high group (3 classes): The first session is scheduled from July 20 to August 7, 2026 (1 class), and the second session is scheduled from July 27 to August 14, 2026 (2 classes). Both sessions will be held at Macquarie University in Australia.

2.	Elementary group (3 classes): The first session is scheduled from July 13 to July 31, 2026 (2 classes) at Queensland College in Australia; the second session is scheduled from July 27 to August 14, 2026 (1 class) at the University of Adelaide in Australia.

Individual study program fees for teachers: Includes round-trip economy class airfare, accommodation during the study period, transportation between accommodation and the overseas university (excluding non-study days), and meals (excluding daily dinners). The aforementioned expenses will be subsidized by NAER and managed by NTNU. Selected teachers will be responsible for their own personal expenses, including passport fees, visa fees, daily dinners during the study period, overseas insurance, etc.

(5)	Application Method:

1.	Applicant Teachers: Within the school's specified deadline, prepare the application materials and submit them to the "National Elementary and Junior High School Teaching Human Resources Network 2.0 (hereinafter referred to as the HR Network)" contact person at your service school.

2.	HR Network Contact Person at Service School: Complete the online application on the HR Network by 5:00 PM on February 6, 2026 (Friday).
