As the Lunar New Year approaches, all administrative staff are requested to adhere to the Civil Servant Integrity and Ethics Regulations and to properly record integrity and ethics-related incidents.
Explanation:
I. In accordance with the Taoyuan City Government's Letter No. 府政預字第1150014099 on January 15, 115.
II. As the Lunar New Year approaches, all administrative staff are requested to comply with the "Taoyuan City Government Employee Integrity and Ethics Regulations" (hereinafter referred to as "the Regulations"), such as:
(I) Gifts from individuals with whom they have a conflict of interest in their official duties shall be refused or returned, except in the circumstances specified in the proviso of Article 4 of the Regulations, and shall be reported to the superior and the integrity and ethics office.
(II) Entertainment and social gatherings with individuals with whom they have a conflict of interest in their official duties shall not be attended, except in the circumstances specified in the proviso of Article 7, Paragraph 1 of the Regulations. In exceptional cases, such as official etiquette or public events for folk festivals, attendance shall be permitted only after reporting to the superior and notifying the integrity and ethics office in accordance with Article 10.
(III) Matters involving requests or recommendations shall be handled in accordance with Article 11 of the Regulations, by reporting to the superior and notifying the integrity and ethics office, in order to maintain public trust in the impartial performance of duties by civil servants.
