Description: 
1.In accordance with the letter from the Taoyuan City Government Animal Protection Office, No. 1150000612, dated January 19, 115.
2.October to March of the following year is the active season for masked palm civets. The foothills and hills in low to mid-altitude areas are preferred habitats for masked palm civets. Please have your school utilize the rabies prevention information on the official website of the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Agency, Ministry of Agriculture, at https://www.aphia.gov.tw/ws.php?id=10988, to inform the public to abide by the following: do not abandon pets, do not touch, capture, or keep wild animals, and regularly vaccinate dogs and cats and artificially raised carnivores against rabies.
3.The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Agency, Ministry of Agriculture, regularly updates the latest news in the rabies prevention zone, including the national rabies vaccination tour schedule and planned activities, for the public to refer to locations for vaccinating pets against rabies. You can also check the latest news on the official website of the Taoyuan City Government Animal Protection Office for "Taoyuan City Animal Rabies Vaccination and Promotion Tour Activities" at https://animal.tycg.gov.tw/Default.aspx.
4.Furthermore, please inform the public that if they discover an animal exhibiting abnormal behavior, such as sudden aggression and biting, they should immediately move away from the animal and promptly notify the local animal disease control authority so that animal health personnel can handle the situation. The contact number can be found in the rabies prevention zone's reporting hotline at https://www.aphia.gov.tw/ws.php?id=11004. If you are accidentally scratched or bitten by a suspected rabid animal, immediately wash the wound with soap and plenty of water for 15 minutes, then disinfect with iodine or 70% alcohol, and seek medical attention as soon as possible to ensure your safety.
