| 1. | The Ministry of Agriculture has announced that Taiwan officially submitted its self-declaration application for African Swine Fever (ASF) free status to the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) on February 21, 115. This case is handled in accordance with WOAH's normative procedures, indicating that Taiwan's ASF prevention and control system has been stabilized, monitoring evidence is complete, and the technical conditions for regaining free status have been met. |
| 2. | The African Swine Fever epidemic is still severe internationally, and epidemic prevention work cannot be relaxed. Please inform the faculty, staff, and students of your schools (kindergartens) not to carry animal and plant quarantine items when entering the country. Please also inform relatives and friends abroad not to mail pork products or other animal quarantine items to Taiwan to avoid penalties. |
| 3. | If pork products from countries (regions) that have experienced African Swine Fever in the last three years are illegally carried into the country and discovered, a fine of NT$200,000 will be imposed for the first offense, and a fine of NT$1,000,000 will be imposed for the second offense. |
