| 1. | Recently, local dengue fever cases have occurred in our jurisdiction. To prevent such incidents, please ensure that your school thoroughly eliminates standing water containers, eradicates mosquito breeding grounds, and disinfects. Strengthen the "Inspect, Dump, Clear, Scrub" work, implement campus environmental cleaning, and make good use of the "Mosquito Breeding Ground Self-Inspection Checklist for Dengue Fever/Chikungunya" for self-inspection, in order to improve campus environmental hygiene. The relevant key tasks are as follows: |
| (1) | Inspect: Conduct thorough inspections to prevent standing water indoors and outdoors, and clear discarded containers with standing water, gutters, etc., inside and outside classrooms or on campus. |
| (2) | Dump: Dump standing water, invert or cover containers; fill natural containers (e.g., traveler's palms, bamboo tubes, tree hollows, rock crevices) and road depressions with soil or sand. |
| (3) | Clear: Reduce the number of containers, discard unnecessary items, and thoroughly clean all used utensils. |
| (4) | Scrub: Scrub the inside of containers to remove mosquito eggs and prevent breeding. Do not allow water to accumulate and breed mosquitoes. |
| 2. | The "Taoyuan City Measures for Preventing Mosquito Breeding and Eradicating Breeding Grounds to Prevent Dengue Fever, Chikungunya, and Zika Virus Infections" will be implemented on June 1st. If mosquito breeding grounds are found, a fine of NT$3,000 to NT$15,000 will be imposed in accordance with Article 70 of the Communicable Disease Control Act. |
