| I. | In accordance with the Ministry of the Interior's letter No. Tai-Nei-Min-Tzu-1150126319, dated July 2, 115. |
| II. | The amendment to Article 26 of the Public Officials Election and Recall Act has two main points, summarized as follows: |
| (I) | Paragraph 6 adds "Act for the Prevention of Fraudulent Crimes": Any person convicted of an offense under this Act with a final and binding judgment shall not be registered as a candidate. This incorporates serious fraud offenses into the disqualification criteria for candidates, aiming to enhance the integrity of public officials and maintain the credibility of democratic elections. |
| (II) | Paragraph 9 removes the original restriction that "persons on probation may not be registered as candidates" and adds "this does not apply to those sentenced to probation or community service in lieu of imprisonment." This allows individuals who have been granted probation or are eligible for community service in accordance with the law to register as candidates. |
| (III) | In addition to the two amendments mentioned above, other provisions, including those related to rebellion, foreign aggression, corruption, bribery, national security, organized crime, drugs, firearms, money laundering, deprivation of civil rights, and guardianship or assistance orders, which disqualify individuals from registering as candidates, remain unchanged from the current system. |
