| Details: |
| I. | Our organization has long been committed to promoting animal protection education. This year, we are holding the 5th "Caring for Animals Literary Award" in 2026, guided by the Ministry of Agriculture. The theme is "My Favorite Animal Protection Textbook Lesson." We invite junior high, senior high, and elementary school students to create original prose works based on textbook lessons that embody the spirit of "owner responsibility," incorporating the spirit of animal care. |
| II. | Since the opening of submissions for this award, we have received enthusiastic participation from students. To respond to this passion and encourage more outstanding works, we have decided to add 5 honorable mentions to each of the "Elementary School Group," "Junior High School Group," and "Senior High School Group," increasing the number of honorable mentions from the original 10 to 15 in each group. |
| III. | The adjusted award details are as follows: The "Elementary School Group," "Junior High School Group," and "Senior High School Group" will each select one first prize winner, two second prize winners, three third prize winners, and fifteen honorable mentions. Prize money will be awarded as follows: NT$3,000 for first prize, NT$2,000 for each second prize winner, NT$1,000 for each third prize winner, and NT$500 for each honorable mention. All award recipients will receive a certificate from the Ministry of Agriculture. |
| IV. | To provide students with more time for creation and submission, the submission deadline has been extended from the original August 31, 2026, to September 7, 2026. For detailed information, please refer to the attached revised activity guidelines (Attachment 1) or the "Student Activities Zone" on our official website (https://www.lca.org.tw/education/31/21292). |
| V. | Outstanding award-winning works will be published on our official website, Facebook, and IG fan pages, as well as the "Animal Protection Grassroots Education Platform" website, for teachers, students, and the general public to appreciate. |
